Gravitational Field
Strength
Introduction
Gravitational field strength describes the force experienced per unit mass at a point in a gravitational field. It allows students to understand how gravity varies with distance from a massive object and forms the basis for analysing planetary motion, satellite orbits and gravitational interactions. This topic also introduces the relationship between gravitational field strength and Newton's Law of Gravitation.
AQA A Level Physics Specification: 3.7.1.2 Gravitational Field Strength
